Please note, this Blog will not be updated anymore.
All brainfood stuff about the online gadgets, apps, services, politics you will find here:
Isn’t there a better motivation to
not write blogposts on a regular basis, when you have a little competition? Yes…we are all humans, aren’t we? Lazy bastards… too much in our mind and too less time?? -> to accomplish all this things. So I was very happy, when I saw Nicole tweeting about –>Iron Blogger Berlin. Its just a bunch of people who agreed to write at least 1 blogpost a week in their own blog. No specific topic given. No writing means 5 Euro in cash to the box. If there is enough money in the box we gonna meet and drink.. YEAH!
I’m still setting up my new blog until its finished, this one will be the main info place. I decided to puplish all music related things to a new tumblr: Support Your Local Ghetto. There I’ll share mostly music related things. Reviews about music apps will stay here.
So, stay tuned. Its very exciting and challenging to set up my own blog. Searching for a theme seems to takes ages… adding widgets and plugins, removing them again and again…
You know this situation: Have been out with friends for a weekend or holiday and everyone took thousands of pictures which of course have to be shared with the group. And now the problem starts: How to share all the pics from all the different devices?
Back home, after sorting them out you can send it to DropBox which for some people, like my parents, is not a very convenient thing to do. You could upload them to you Flickr account and mark them as private. But for me this doesn’t work cause all this non streetart pics appear also in my stream. And I only have streetart pics there which I do not want to mix with private holiday pics.
7 Moments.com is a very simple way to share private pics. Right now its in Beta but if you ask the friendly guys, I’m sure they let you in.
Here is, what it looks like:
Uploading is as easy as cooking noodles.. 🙂 You can add by drag and drop, from your harddrive or or just add pics from Facebook. Once you added all the pics, you can change the background and your album is ready to go.
Next step: Invite the people you want to share the pics, just click on “add more people”. You can add a bunch of people in one step including a message:
All your friends will receive a link to instant access, where they can see the pics, mark them with a little heart and download them.
Thats it. Easy, innit?
Get your invite here: https://www.7moments.com . Feel free to add more features, which I might have not discovered yet.
I love it. Its so easy to share pics, get instant feedback or just to tell a story to your friends and followers. Sharing the pics individually with all the different social services makes it even more comofortable. The drop of bitterness is that its still available for iPhone only. The pendant is EYEEM, its available also for Android. But the user experience is just not so smooth as with Instagram, so I’d rather stay with them.
AirBnB http://www.airbnb.com/Not many words necessary to say about this fantastic service. I can finance my carrier change plus I had the chance to meet so many cool people right in my house. Just great!
Stunning service for everything which is audio related. After I posted my latest mix I had more than 1.000 listeners within 2 weeks from all over the world. Nuff said. Ah… the search is horrible there.. but I’m sure they work in it 🙂
This is a brandnew service where you can host or participate on activities in Berlin or New York organized by real people. Looking forward to do a Digital Fotocamera Tour but I’m also interested in a WordPress for Dummies Workshop or something food related. Next: Thinking about hosting something by myself.
Share the books your read with friends and peers. When it comes to books and movies I’m always kind of helpless, cause I don’t know what to read / watch next. Readmill lets you share what you are reading on your reader / iPad. And it has nothing to do with the Kindle / Amazon – iBook Store walletgardens. You can convert every format and read it there.
So, what about google plus? I use it a lot and love my circles to get proper informations. But as longs as they are not able to integrate other services like Soundcloud (no direct to play option) or fotos sharing apps, where you can upload pictures directly to your profile google plus is not ready for top 5 in 2011.
Not that there are not enough blogs out there…. But for some reasons, I have a bit more time right now, its called “Inbetween Jobs”, so back here on WordPress. Still not happy with the theme. I’d love to see the width over the fullscreen, the font which is used in the in the sidebar is way too big but as I’m not very good at changing CSS it will stay until I found out how it goes. Ha.. and this leads me to my 1st blogpost after 1 year: My fave online apps this year.
finally I’m going to change to a selfhosted blog. should not be taken too long until everything has moved. All music related stuff including my DJ nights at Panke got a new home here: Support Your Local Ghetto
